Jerry “Scoop” McKee, 74, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2017 at the Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Athens, TN, on January 12, 1943, he was the husband of Sammie “Nanny” McKee.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Tammy McKee and Tim McKee; brother: Don McKee; grandchildren: Morgan Dempsey, Miranda Dempsey, Jordan McKee, Taylor McKee and Chole Marie; great-grandchild Little Scoop coming soon.
A memorial service will take place at New Hope Baptist Church, 108 New Hope Road, Pelzer, SC, on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 2pm with Reverend Jayson Payne officiating.
A visitation and celebration of life will follow the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rabun Creek Baptist Youth Mission Funds c/o Jayson Payne.
