Jo Ann “Joe” Ray, 76 of Belton SC, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at her home.
Born in Anderson County, SC, on April 2, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow Stoddard Pace and Rachael Timms and the wife of 61 years to John H. Ray Sr. She was a member of Cornerstone Pentecostal Community Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons: Pete (Anne), Gregory, Anthony, Stanley (Ann) and Terry (Eliza) Ray; her daughter: Tammy Fargis (Lester); sisters: Joyce Johnson (Tom), Karen Harris (Bo), and Jane Lawrence (David); and 39 grand, great-grand and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Sosebee Mortuary, South Chapel on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 1:30pm. Burial will follow at MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery at 3pm.
Visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday, December 5, 2018.
The family will be at the home.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
