Joann Rogers Ayers, 76, of Anderson SC passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at her residence.
Born in Williamston SC to the late DeWitt Rogers and Eunice Irby Rogers, she was the spouse to the late Ray Ayers, a member of Freedom Center Church, worked in retail at F.W. Woolworth Dept. Store for 42 years.
She is survived by sons: Lamar Ayers, and Bobby Ayers (Denise), brothers: Duane Rogers (Annette), Gary Rogers (Nancy), and Ray Rogers (Sandra), sister: Bonnie Bryant (Morris). Grandchildren: Jordan Campbell (Lee), Jannah Kelley (Zach), 5 great-grandchildren, and she is also survived by her loving mother-in-law: Helen Ayers.
In addition to her parents and spouse, she is predeceased by a sister: Christine Lanning.
Funeral services will be held at Freedom Center Church on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at 2pm with Rev. Phil Sears officiating. Burial will follow in New Silverbrook Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Sosebee Mortuary South Chapel on Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 6pm to 8pm.
The family will be at their respective homes.
