Joe David Fields, 74, of Townville, SC, passed away on Wednesday October 25, 2023, at Rainey Hospice House.
Born on May 24, 1949, in Bedford, IN, he was the son of the late William “Bill” Fields and Esther Fields, he was a parts delivery driver for Smith Motors, race car driver, and avid fisherman. He also was a master mechanic and fabricator, there was nothing he couldn’t fix. He also loved airplanes and flying, he meant a lot to everyone, he was a self-less person and loved everybody.
He is survived by his sons: Benjamin Fields and Shane Fields (Gina); grandchildren: Talon Wilson, Jazlyn Fields, Liam Fields; “useless” son at heart: Jason Smith; sister-in-law: Micki Fields; nieces: Jennifer and Casey; along with other numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his son: William David Fields and brother: Jerry Fields.
The funeral will be held at Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel on Thursday November 2, 2023, at 4:30pm.
The visitation will be held at Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel on Thursday November 2, 2023, from 3pm to 4:30pm.
The family will be at their respective homes.
Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family.
