Joe B. Finley, 83, of Belton, SC, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at his home.
Born in Plain City, OH, on May 20, 1941; he was the son of the late Neal and Frances Wetzel Finley and married to the late Karen Askins Finley for 60 years. Joe was a member of Neals Creek Baptist Church. He retired from Lee Steam Plant and as an avid hunter, co-owned Finley’s Taxidermy with his wife, Karen.
He is survived by his daughters: Dora Lea Banister (Gregg), Kathi Lowe (Tommy), and Lynita Boatwright (Bart); grandchildren: Magon Wilson (Matt), Michelle Banister, Andrew Banister (Mary Grace), Rebecca Collins (Joe), Emily Lowe, Chandler Boatwright (Ashley), and Hayden Boatwright; great grandchildren: Mattie Wilson, Paisley Wilson, Sawyer Burriss, Allie-Grace Banister, Charles Banister, Devin Collins, and Sarah Collins.
The family will hold a memorial service at Neals Creek Baptist Church on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 3pm. Visitation will be held prior to the service at the church from 2pm to 3pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Neals Creek Baptist, 3204 Amity Rd Anderson SC 29621; Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd Anderson SC 29621, or Cancer Association of Anderson, 215 E. Calhoun St Anderson SC 29621.
The family will be at the home.
