John “Jake” Clyde Adams, 98, of Anderson, SC passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at RaIney Hospice House.
Born in Anderson, SC he was twice widowed, first to the late Nellie Lee Watson, and second to the late Desdy Bayne. He was a US Army Veteran having served during World War II and was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Greer, SC. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He is survived by his sons: Mart Tucker (Gloria) and George Tucker (Mary); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and his loving niece: Judy Nicholson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 11am at Sosebee Mortuary, South Chapel and will be officiated by Reverend Sam Duncan. Private burial will follow the service at New Silverbrook Cemetery.
The family will be at their respective homes.
