Johnnie “John” Baker, 64, of Anderson, SC, passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 29, 2023.
Born on August 9, 1959, in Greenville, NC, he was the son of the late James and Shirley Baker. John was a very smart man who could carry on a conversation about any topic and was loved by all who met him. He loved to cook, loved animals, and loved his Westerns.
John is survived by his Love and Soulmate; Delores Ashworth; Son at heart: Keith Caldwell who was raised in the home and resides in Missouri; Brothers: Ricky and Sandra Baker of Williamston, NC, Jerry and Cindy Baker of Wake Forest, NC, and Charles “Jon” and Kim Reams of Rocky Mount, NC; Grandchildren: Eva Gracie Leeper of Anderson, SC and Chloe Caldwell of Missouri; and Special Brother-in-Law: Tora Nichols.
The family will be at the home and will hold a private memorial gathering.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with the arrangements.

My fondest memories of Johnnie was all the years he use to buy me Rondo drinks in Rocky Mount at the Hotel he and my sister use to run.
