Johnny Milton McCurry, Sr., age 93, widower of Janelle Roberts McCurry, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Exalted Health and Rehab of Iva.
Born September 24, 1921, he was the son of the late Jeff and Sallie Fisher McCurry.
Mr. McCurry was a World War II Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army Air Force, a retired barber, a 50 year member of Ruff Masonic Lodge 240 and attended Orrville Baptist Church.
He is survived by a son: Johnny Milton McCurry, Jr and wife: Cynthia of Anderson SC; two grandchildren: Denise Malone and husband Tom and Jeffrey McCurry and wife Annaleisa, all of Anderson SC; four great-grandchildren; three great step-grandchildren; a brother Earl McCurry of Anderson, SC.
He was predeceased by brother Charles Thomas McCurry.
A private burial was held on Friday, January 16, 2015 at MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
