Joseph ‘Lil Joe’ Bowen, 64, of Anderson, SC passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Amelia McKee Bowen and married to Marlene P. Bowen. He was the former owner and operator of Lil Joe’s Towing Service and a member of Trinity Springs Church of God.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his grandchildren: Danielle, Zack, Ashley, and Nicole; his brothers: Dean (June) and Jerry (Fredda) Bowen; and his sister-in-law Darlene Beatey (Richard).
In addition to his parents, he is also predeceased by his daughter and son-in-law Stephanie and Billy Vaughn; and his sister-in-law Charlene Madden.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 3pm officiated by Rev. Scott Vaughn and Rev. Jimmy Patterson at Trinity Springs Church of God. Burial will follow at Iva City Cemetery.
Joe will be placed in the church at 1pm and the family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday at the church from 2pm – 3pm.
The family will be at the home of sister-in-law Darlene Beatey and ask that in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Trinity Springs Church of God, Post Office Box 151, Anderson, South Carolina 29622.
