Joy Glenn Helms, age 77, of Anderson, SC, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Condor Care, surrounded by her family.
Joy was born on December 7, 1946, in Anderson, SC, to the late Johnnie Pulliam and William Frank Glenn, Jr. Joy was a graduate of The University Of South Carolina. She dedicated her life to 33 years of teaching and loved her children and grandchildren dearly. Joy was a wonderful cook, loved her dog and was a devoted friend to many.
She is survived by her daughters: Leslie Helms Brownlee (Martin Townes), Anslie Helms Hunt (Christopher Shane); son, James Nicholas Helms (Michelle); daughter-in-law, Kristina Bescherer Helms; and grandchildren: William Townes Brownlee, Christopher Holden Hunt, Addison Bescherer Helms, and Rachel Elizabeth Helms.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by a son, Andrew Jackson Helms, Jr.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
