Joyce Coleman Gillespie, 84, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born on June 1, 1931 in Bath, SC, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Edward, Sr. and Frannie Allen Coleman. Joyce was the wife to the late Davis Dallas Gillespie and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her sons: David Blake, Richard Dean, and Robert Dale Gillespie, Sr.; daughter Stacey Gillespie Tennant; brother George H. Coleman; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband; she was also predeceased by sons: Steven Lee and Ronald Bruce Gillespie; daughter: Julie Ann Gillespie Bolt; brothers: Joseph Edward Coleman, Jr. and Jim Thornborg; and sisters: Grace Lubarski and Helen Faustine Morris.
Funeral services will be held on 2pm, Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Sosebee Mortuary, Downtown Chapel. Visitation will be held prior to the service Sunday at the Mortuary from 1pm – 2pm.
Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
