Judy Faye Payne Stone, born on December 25, 1950 of Anderson, South Carolina passed away on October 4, 2025.
She was the wife of the late Rocky Stone. She was the daughter of the late Dixon Payne and Mildred King Payne.
Though an only child, Judy was lovingly raised by her aunt, the late Edna Crawford, who was a mother figure throughout her life and shared a lifelong sisterly bond with the late Bobbie Crawford.
Judy spent her life in Anderson, South Carolina. She lived with a feisty spirit, an independence that carried her through both joys and struggles, and a love for animals, especially her dogs, who were her most loyal companions.
She is survived by her four children: Dixie Burdette (Floyd), Missie Brown Fleming, Theresa Dempsey, and Kristopher Brown; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
In keeping with her generous spirit, Judy chose to be an organ donor, giving the gift of life in her passing.
Her story is one of resilience, spirit, and love. She will be remembered with love by all who knew her.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
