Kyla Atole February 8, 2017

Kyla S. Atole, 33, of Pendleton, SC passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 8, 2017.

Born in Youngstown, OH in 1983, Kyla relocated with her mother to Albuquerque, New Mexico at six months old where she attended Montessori preschool, MacArthur Elementary School, Sandia Preparatory School, and graduated from Freedom High School. She also studied Basic Education at the University of New Mexico. Kyla completed the Massage Therapy Program at the Universal Therapeutic Massage Institute and was a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) in Albuquerque.

Kyla, her devoted husband, Matt, and their two small children, Lucian and Xandria, had moved to Pendleton, SC only about two years ago, with plans to build a happy and successful life in this beautiful, peaceful, wooded setting. Kyla was “Executive Administrator” at SAHM (Stay-at-Home Mom) and dearly loved her job.

Kyla was preceded in death by her half-brother: Eric Paolone; maternal grandmother: Erna R Kaye; infant son: Cameron Scott; stepson: Mattlee Atole; mother-in-law: Maria Wells; maternal great-grandparents: Thomas and Erna Spence; and paternal great-grandparents: Albert and Pearl Thrasher.

She is survived by her loving husband: Matt Atole; son: Lucian Anthony; daughter: Xandria Raven; stepsons: Michael and Evin; heartbroken parents: Anthony and Katherine Carrillo; half-brother: Louis Paolone; stepbrother: Michael Carrillo and his spouse Monica; half-sisters: Nicole Paolone and Amanda Paolone; stepsister: Joshlyn Carrillo-Gill and her spouse Steven; maternal grandfather: Alvin G. Thrasher; paternal grandparents: Louis and Elma Paolone; aunts: Perla Webb, Elsie Gonzales, Barb Sampson, and Kathy Owen; uncles: David Kwapiszewski, Lurie Carrillo and his spouse, Priscilla, Cris Carrillo, Luis Carrillo and his spouse Anna; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

There will be no services due to financial and time constraints.

Cremation has taken place and Kyla’s cremains will be returning to Albuquerque, NM along with her immediate family.

Condolences and donations for the benefit of Kyla’s two young children may be sent to Matt Atole c/o Carrillo, 501 Berry Road NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107-5213.

The family gratefully acknowledges all the loving support, kindnesses, and prayers extended to them from the communities of Anderson and Pendleton, and especially from everyone at Pendleton Elementary School and Anderson Home Depot.
