Larry Alton Atkins, 76, of Anderson SC, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Hospice of the Upstate.
Born in Anderson SC, on November 10, 1939, he was the son of the late Tommy and Christine Atkins. He was a former Deacon of Mountain Creek Baptist Church. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge 240, where was a former Past Master and Secretary as well as Past District Deputy Grand Master of the 14th District.
He is survived by his loving wife, of over 54 years, Brenda Atkins; Daughters: Lisa Wilson (Dirk) and Ginger Burdette (James), Grandchildren: Tyler Wilson, Whitney Velie (Clinton), Bethany Velie (Nathaniel), Megan Wilson (Chandler) and Cassidy Wilson; and Great-Grandchildren: Brayden Clardy, Philip Velie and Ella Velie.
Funeral Services will be held at 3pm Friday January 22, 2016 at the Mountain Creek Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 1pm to 3pm prior to the service Friday at the church.
