Larry Neal Gambrell Sr, 77, of Anderson, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018 at his home.
Born in Anderson, SC on May 25, 1941, he was the son of the late William and Floride Gambrell and the husband to the late Frances Louise Gambrell. Larry was a member of Middleton Road Baptist Church and a volunteer fire fighter with Flatrock- Bowen Fire Department.
He is survived by his sons: Larry Jr (Vickie), Robert (Damaris) and Edward (Kayla); daughter, Christine Norris (Eric); brothers: Robert and Tommy Gambrell; sister, Edna Leopard; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is predeceased by 8 siblings.
Funeral services will be held at Sosebee Mortuary South Chapel on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 3pm with Rev Dale Cross and Rev Butch Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Middleton Road Baptist Church Cemetery with Fireman’s Rites.
Visitation will be held at the South Chapel prior to the service from 1pm to 3pm.
The family will be at the home of his daughter, Christine Norris.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
