Larry Vinson Heaton, 74, of Anderson SC, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Tifton, Georgia on September 9, 1947, he was the son of Helen Fowler Heaton and the late Wattie Vinson Heaton. Larry was a three-time Purple Heart recipient serving in Vietnam with the United States Marine Corps.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Patsy Fisher Heaton; children: Robert Vinson Heaton (Tammy) and Melinda Sue Heaton; two brothers; one sister; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at 1pm with Pastor Donnie Norris officiating. Burial will follow at MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery, with full military honors.
Visitation will be held prior to the service at the South Chapel on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, from 12pm to 1pm.
The family will receive guests at the mortuary, not the residence.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
