Lester Wilson Ashley, 78, of Ware Shoals, SC, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at McCall Hospice House.
Born in Anderson, SC on September 16, 1941; he was the son of the late Floyd and Sudie Ashley and married to the late Glendell Ashley. He was a mason and a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son, Robert Ashley; stepdaughter, Laurie Wood (Chris); 4 grandchildren: CJ Ashley, Bree Ashley, John Preston Wood, and Maggie Wood; and special nephew, Barry Ashley, Jr. and family.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is also predeceased by a son, Rodney Wilson Ashley; five brothers; and one sister.
Due to the concerns of COVID-19, private family services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Mt. Bethel Baptist Church Building Fund.
