Lester Manning, 75, of Calhoun Falls, SC, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Hospice House of Greenwood.
Born in Abbeville, SC, to the late Charles Lester and Dorothy Holmes Manning on December 12, 1949; he was married to Frankie White Manning of over 57 years. Lester was a current member of Calhoun Falls Fire Dept for 55 years and held the rank of Assistant Chief for 31 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge holding the position of Master Mason and three-time Past Master of the Lodge. Lester loved his family, having cookouts and gardening.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by a daughter, Christa Hall (Tim); grandchildren: Danielle, Julie, and Katie Hall, Erin Hagood (Dale) and Ethan Manning; and great granddaughter, Harper Hagood; as well as his other family, the Calhoun Falls Fire Department.
In addition to parents, he is also predeceased by a son, Jamey Manning.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 2pm at Solid Rock Community Church, Calhoun Falls, SC.
The family will be at the residence. Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
