Lois Grant Edens, 86 of Pelzer, South Carolina passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family.
Born in Greenville, SC on February 5, 1938, Lois was the daughter of the late James Grant and Kate Waldrop Grant and the wife to the late John Larry Edens. Lois was a member of Pelzer Church of God who loved Jesus and was a preschool Sunday School teacher for over 30 years. Lois loved her Heavenly Father, her family and many friends. Lois also loved angels, butterflies, humming birds, flowers, the color purple, and her fur babies, MistieSue and Marnie.
Lois is survived by her children: Michael Larry Edens (MaryAnn), Wanda Edens Massey (David), and Angela Edens Taylor (John); Grandchildren are Becky Holland, Chris Parris, Ashley Taylor, Bryan Saylors, and Tyler Edens. Lois’ great grandchildren are Michael & Faith Parris, Joshua & Jacob Gordon and Harmony Combs; She has one great-great grandson, Armani. Lois had many nephews & nieces which include families of Carol Blakley, Odel & Linda, Bruce, & Joe Etris, Tommy Ray, Debbie & Kristie, Linda, David & Peggy Grant, Keith Grant, Jerry Edens, Stephen Stone; Karen & Katherine Black, Danny, Steve & Kathy Vaughn.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lois is preceded in death by her brothers, Roy Grant, Carvin Grant, Cecil Grant, Troy Grant, Hershal Grant, Pat Grant, and sisters Laura Grant, Ruth Etris and Barbara Vaughn. Great grandchildren who have passed include Austin Taylor Blount and Ashton Parris and her nephews, Mickey Edens, Jacob Black and Jonathan Black. Roberta Stone and Judy Edens were her sister’s-in-law and Maxie Edens was her brother-n-law.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:45 pm on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Pelzer Church of God located at 203 SC-20 Pelzer, SC officiated by Pastor Ronald Chavis. The family will receive friends in the sanctuary at 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at 2:45 pm.
The family will be at their respective homes.
