Lois Simpson Slaton December 19, 1929 - October 23, 2024

Lois Simpson Slaton, 94, of Pendleton, SC, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Summit Place of Anderson.

Born on December 19, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Gideon and Belle Smith Simpson, wife to the late Joyce Martin Slaton and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Lois loved flowers, gardening, and traveling. She was an avid bowler and played golf.

Lois is survived by her Children: Jerry Slaton, Peggy Waits (Al), Gwen Fleitstra (Tom), and Lynn Dunster (Pete); as well as five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at the Sosebee Mortuary South Chapel. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Central, SC.

The family will receive friends from 1pm to 2pm Wednesday, prior to the service, at the Mortuary, but will also be at their respective homes.

Lois’ family would like to thank the staff at Summit Place for their care and love shown to her and her family.
