Lorenda ‘Ren’ Bowen, 53, of Iva, SC passed away at her home on Saturday, June 7, 2014.
Born in Toccoa, GA on February 21, 1961, she was the daughter of Kenneth Cheek and the late Annie Ruth Cheek. She was a member of Going Through with Jesus.
She is survived by her husband: Larry ‘Scooter’ Bowen; children: Lisa Winstead, Candice Taylor, Tawny, and Maggie Burton; and granddaughter: Sara Grace Winstead.
In addition to her mother, she is also preceded in death by a sister: Dauphine Hunt.
A Memorial Service will be held at Going Through with Jesus, 300 W. Poplar St, Iva, on Thursday, June 12, 2014 officiated by Rev. Terry Allen at 6pm.
The family will be at the home and will receive friends following the service at the church.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory, South Chapel, assisted the family.
