Louie Haskell “Butch” Gurley Jr, 56, of Iva, SC passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2019.
Born on August 12, 1962 in Anderson, SC, he was the son of Brenda Dorothy Carter and the late Louie Haskell Gurley Sr. Butch was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Thomas Leverette American Legion Post 44. He was employed with the City of Anderson as a Code Enforcer over Waste Management and was a Veteran of the US Army.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughters: Marsha Sheree Gurley, Nevada Paige Gurley, and Nova Shyann Erwin; siblings: Mark Gurley, Vance “Teddy” Gurley, Denise Burroughs, and Jennifer Sosebee; granddaughter: Ariana Calixte; and love of his life: Dawna Everitt.
Funeral Services will be at 4pm on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Sosebee Mortuary, Iva Chapel.
Visitation will be held prior to the service, at the Iva Chapel, from 2pm – 4pm.
The family will be at 106 Cann Street Iva, SC 29655.
