Louise P. Newby, 73, of Iva SC, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
Born in Anderson SC, on November 19, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Helen Clinkscales Poindexter and is survived by her husband of 58 years David Newby. She was retired from Mohawk Industries, with 44yrs service. She was also a member of Good Hope Presbyterian Church, former Sunday School Teacher, choir member, Deacon and Elder. Louise headed up the mission program, especially the Honduras Mission and Samaritan’s Purse.
In addition to her husband, she was survived by her daughters: Sandra Jones (Jerry), Kay Milford (Rusty) and Lynn Malmos; as well as 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Services will be held at Good Hope Presbyterian Church, Iva, SC, on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at 4pm with Rev. Annette Graham and Rev. Richard Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Iva City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to the service at the church from 2:30 to 4pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good Hope Presbyterian Church and the Honduras Missions.
