Lowell Cordell Moss, 85, of Anderson SC, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024, at AnMed Medical Center.
Born in Union, SC, on July 23, 1938, he was the son of the late Andrew Jackson and Coy Sutherland Moss. Lowell was a Marine Corps Veteran, retired after 35 years with Bilo Trucking Company and was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Temple. He was a loving husband, brother and friend, His enjoyment and relaxation time was fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years: Gloria Miguel Moss; daughter: Cheryl Moss Vaughn (Ray); stepchildren: Glorie DeBrock (Tim), Victor Reyes, Fred Reyes, Byron Reyes, David Reyes, and Jess Reyes; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers: Ralph L. Moss Sr and Andrew Moss Jr.
A funeral service will be held at Gethsemane Baptist Temple on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 3pm with Pastor Sam Duncan officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the United States Marine Corp.
Visitation will be held prior to the service at the church on Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 1:30pm to 3pm.
The family will be at their respective homes.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
