M. Louise Horne, 97, of Belton, SC, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Magnolia Manor in Inman, SC.
Born on December 20, 1928, she was the daughter of the late William Robert and May Chester Sellers Ballard and was married for 38 years to the late Frank “Pete” Horne. Before she was homebound, she loved going to church, attending auctions, and tending her yard and flowers. Every night, she was ready to settle in and watch “Nightline.” She loved going to Rick every week to get her hair styled, because no one saw her if her hair wasn’t styled.
She is survived by her Stepdaughters: Kathy Wilson (Bubba) and Marcia Fowler (Ronnie); Niece and Nephew: Wanda Ballard (Danny) and Alex Smith (Cathy); as well as five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her Son: William Douglas Young; Sister: Marie Bawkum; and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday March 10, 2026, at Chiquola Baptist Church, Honea Path, SC, and will be officiated by Rev. Steve Magaha. A private interment will follow at Eastview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1pm to 2pm, prior to the service Tuesday, at the church.
