Margaret Harris Brown, 88, who was a lifelong resident of Iva, SC, passed away on Thursday April 17, 2014.
Born on January 22, 1926 in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late George Victor and Eunice Taylor Harris and wife to the late William Stewart Brown.
Margaret was retired from Iva Manufacturing after being employed for over 30 years, was a honor graduate of Iva High School and was proud to have won a spelling bee in the 3rd grade.
She is survived by her daughter; Laura Brown Braker, Beloved Son-in-law; Levis D. Baker, Sisters; Herschel Taylor and Hazel Harris, Grandchildren; David Stewart Baker and Kimberly Levisa Baker, Great-grandchildren; Levis Bryan Boyd “LB” (Charlene) and Robert William Compton “Robby,” and David Samuel Baker and Great great-grandchild; Portia Emily Danielle Boyd.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers; George V Harris Jr and Kenneth Harris and sister; Juanita Brown.
Funeral Services will be held at 2p.m. on Sunday April 20, 2014 at the Generostee ARP Church in Anderson, SC with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel, will be assisting the family with the arrangements.
