Marvin J.C. Davis, 89, of Anderson SC, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021.
Born on July 5, 1932, in Greenville SC, he was the son of the late Arthur Davis and Onie Davis Todd. He was a member of Homeland Park Church of God, retired after 43 years from Orr Lyons Mills, 2 years Dunean Plant, 3 years White Jones and was a Corporal in the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Logan Davis; son: Randall Davis; daughters: Deborah Addis, Sandra Williamson, and Randi Lowe; brother: Ralph Davis; sister: Martha Cole; grandchildren: Robbie, Jody and Necie, Gene, Dwayne, Kim and Tiffany, Ashley and Charles, Jacob and Jordan; 14 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers: Allan, Furman, R.M., Pelham, and Jimmy Davis; sisters: Gertrude Meredith, Ollie Getsinger, Corine Harper, Dorothy Meredith, Lee Cox, Hester Klinskey and Alma Tedder.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Sosebee Mortuary South Chapel at 2pm with Pastor Vernon Sales officiating.
Visitation will be held prior to the service at the South Chapel on Thursday, from 1pm to 2pm.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
