Mary “Susie” Frances Davis, 81, of Anderson, SC passed away on Tuesday September 10, 2024, at Callie and John Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Anderson, SC on October 20, 1942, she was the daughter of the late James Henry Hastings and May Sanders Hastings, she was the wife to the late T.E. Davis. Susie retired from Schmid Manufacturing and was a loving mother who enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by her son: Thomas “Dale” Byrd; stepdaughter: Vickie Reed; sisters: Janis Saavedra, Cathy Eskew, Linda Lee, and Vicky White; she is also survived by her beloved dog “Chico”.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her stepson: Harry Lee Davis; siblings: Clara Mae Childs, Dennis Hastings, Ricky Hastings, and Shirley White.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Saturday September 14, 2024, at Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel. Burial to follow at Iva City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1pm to 2pm on Saturday September 14, 2024, at the mortuary.
The family will be at their respective homes.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
