Mary Faith Thrasher Thomas “Granny,” 91, of Anderson, SC, went to be with the Lord on Sunday April 15, 2018.
Born on January 29, 1927, in Hartwell, Ga, she was the daughter of the late Milledge and Minnie Thrasher. Mary was a Gold Star Mother and member of the VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary. She was also a mother of a KIA Vietnam Veteran, Charles Franklin “Frankie” Thomas.
She is survived by her children: Shirley Perry (Tony), Marsha Parton (James), Johnny Thomas (Bonnie) and Judy Fowler (Larry); Brother: Jerry Thrasher (Carol); sisters: Louise Williamson and Janelle Cain; as well as 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and son, Frankie, she is preceded in death another son: Bruce William Thomas, five brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Wednesday April 18, 2018 at the Sosebee Mortuary South Chapel and will be officiated by Rev. Robert Wells and Rev. Michael Perry. Entombment will follow at Oconee Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm, Tuesday April 17, 2018 at the Mortuary.
