Mary Frances Kay Wells, 87, passed away on September 13, 2015.
She was the daughter of the late Samuel P and Nettie Lee Kay. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was the widow of the late Erastus Harold Owens with whom she had one son, Richard. She later married William Thomas (Pete) Wells and had three children, Angela Kay Hill, William Wayne Wells, and Martin Perry Wells.
She is survived by two of her children, eight grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed very much by her family, friends, and neighbors.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from 10am – 11am, at Sosebee Mortuary, South Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 11:30am at New Silverbrook Cemetery, officiated by Reverend Joe Stansell.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road Anderson, SC 29621. They can also be made to the Cancer Society of Anderson County, 215 E Calhoun Street Anderson, SC 29621.
