Merle Eugene “Gene” Wegner, 75, of Anderson, SC passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at his home.
Born on March 18, 1945 he was the son of the late Merle and Ethel Wegner and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his children: Michele Bingham, Tammy Wegner, Darcy Maves Kortte, Deanna Douglas, Nicki Taylor, and Brent Wegner; siblings: Jackie Saunders, Ruth Ann Tucker, Ellen Byrd, and Nancy England; 14 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister: Caroline Bebee.
Private services will be held.
Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory, South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
