Michael Paul Kelley, lovingly known as “Mike,” passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at his home in Williamston, SC. He was 62 years old.
Born and raised in Anderson, Mike graduated from McDuffie High School in 1980. From the young age of 16, he committed himself to the HVAC profession, becoming a skilled and respected technician throughout his lifelong career. Most recently, he worked with Complete Heat & Air, where he continued to serve his community with dedication and pride.
Mike was the life of every room he entered. Outgoing, generous, and full of laughter, he never met a stranger. His loyalty to those he loved ran deep, and his friendships, many of them lifelong, were a testament to the kind of man he was. Whether helping a neighbor in need, cracking a joke, or simply showing up with a warm smile, Mike gave of himself freely. Above all, he was a hardworking, devoted family man who made everyone feel at home in his presence.
He is survived by his lifelong love and best friend, Gail Kelley; daughter, Brianna Parnell (Savannah); his daughter at heart, Tonya Childs (Beau) and and his cherished granddaughters, Brynn and Elli. Mike also leaves behind his siblings, Randy Kelley, Chuck Kelley (Brandi,) Chris Cade, and Melonie McAlister (Danny); along with his treasured lifelong friends, James Hill, Gary Billups and Michael Esuary. He will be deeply missed by many more extended family members and friends whose lives he touched.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Mary “Sue” Watson (Freddy) and Charles Kelley (Barbara).
Services will be held at 12pm, this Saturday, June 14th, at Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory, located at 3219 South Main Street, Anderson, SC 29624. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday at the Mortuary from 11am – 12pm.
