Mildred ‘Mimi’ Freeman, 75, of Anderson, SC passed away on Friday, September 1, 2023, at Anmed Health Medical Center.
Born on July 5, 1947 in Anderson, SC; she was the daughter of the late Joe Shirley and Frances Phillips Freeman.
Mimi graduated from Forest College. She was employed by Chen Tex before retiring to take care of her ailing mother, for over 40 years. She attended Full Gospel Lighthouse Church where she enjoyed worshiping and singing Old Gospel Hymns. The last 11 years of her life, she enjoyed traveling the world and being with her family.
She is survived by her sister, Bobbie Jean Bowen (Berry); and her loving and caring nieces: Tammie Bowen and Kim Work (Mark).
Services will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Sosebee Mortuary, South Chapel, at 11am. Pastors Danny Whitt, Dale Duckett, and William Wilson will officiate. A private burial will follow at New Silverbrook Cemetery.
The family will be at their respective homes.
