Nancy Lee Taylor Rochester, born June 5, 1937 and wife of Joe W. Rochester for over 58 years went to be with the Lord on January 29, 2015 at the age of 77. From Iva, SC she passed at Rainey Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.
She was a former owner of Nan’s Bait and Tackle in Traveler’s Rest, SC as well as worked in various retail and manufacturing businesses. She was a member of Andersonville Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband; she is survived by her five children: Cindy (Terry) Alumbaugh of Summerfield, FL, Myra (Phil) Ellison of Belton, SC, Ricky (Bobbie) Rochester of Travelers Rest, SC, Stephanie (Joe) Mason of Piedmont, SC, and Stephen (Debra) Rochester of Belton, SC; sister Kathy (Robbie) Sexton of Clemson, SC; 22 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; as well as many extended family members.
She is predeceased by her parents: Clyde and Crystal Taylor; and brothers: Bobby E. and Billy C. Taylor.
Services will be held at 11am on Monday, February 2, 2015 at Sosebee Mortuary, South Chapel. Burial will follow at MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
On Sunday, February 1, 2015 the family will receive friends from 3pm – 5pm at the Mortuary.
The family will be at the home and request that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Andersonville Baptist Church, Rainey Hospice House, or a charity of one’s choice.
