Nellie Sue Compton, 73, of Anderson, SC passed away on July 28, 2015 at Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Hart County, Ga., she was the daughter of the late JC and Helen Thompson Carnes and married to the late Earl Dean Compton, Sr.
She is survived by her daughters: Debbie Sanders (David) and Dottie Zabriskie (Miquel); brothers: Alton Carnes (Patsy), Dinky Carnes (Rossie), Bub Carnes (Lib), and Gene Carnes (Pat); sisters: Mot Owens (Gaines) and Sandra Woody (Wayne); grandchildren: Charissa (Alex), Lilly, and Gage; granddaughter-in-law Robbie; great-grandchildren: River, Jade, Lexie, Little Brandon, and Brandy; and great-great grandchildren: Garrison and Charli Grace.
In addition to her parents and spouse; she is also predeceased by a son Earl Dean Compton, Jr., and a grandson Brandon Charles Franks.
Services will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at 4pm officiated by Pastor Kiki Tant at Sosebee Mortuary, South Chapel. Private burial will be held.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday at the Mortuary from 3pm-4pm.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory, South Chapel, is assisting the family with arrrangements.
