Ofracia Delgado Nieves, 87, of Anderson, SC passed away on Friday April 19, 2024, at AnMed Medical Center.
Born in Guayama, PR on January 14, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Julio Delgado and Iluminada Ortiz Delgado. She visited families with her church where she was active and was a member of Association of Pentacostal Churches in the South Atlantic Region for over 20 years. Ofracia was a very devoted, caring, and nurturing mom. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was also very trustworthy, took a lot of secrets to her grave, and this is how she raised her children.
She is survived by her daughter: Ruth E. Johnson (Wade Mance); sons: Herbert Vega (H.Vega), Robert Arroyo, and Dorian Diaz; sisters: Rachel Delgado and Sarah Delgado; grandchildren: Jennifer Martinez, Mayumi Stephens, and Joshua Arroyo; 9 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren and her two children at heart: Anna and Carlito.
Funeral services will be held at 3pm on Friday May 3, 2024, at Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel officiated by Pastor: Brigido Perez and Pastor Jose Algarin. Burial to follow at South Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1pm to 3pm at the mortuary on Friday May 3, 2024.
The family will be at her daughter’s home Ruth.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
