Ila Mae Rochester Hawkins Tubbs, 79, of Anderson, SC passed away on Thursday April 25, 2024.
Born in Seneca, SC on July 19, 1944, she was the daughter of the late George Rochester and Ila P. Rochester, she was of Baptist faith and worked as an accountant. Ila was a beloved mother and nana.
She is survived by her daughters: Rhonda Dendy and Karen Watson; brother: George Rochester Jr.; and sister-in-law: Gwen Harden; grandchildren: Michelle Dendy, Michael Dendy, and Joseph Elakrah, and 3 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother: David Harden, sisters: Sarah Littleton, Julian Harden, and Lou Harden.
A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Sunday May 5, 2024, at Faith Memorial Tabernacle 290 West Point Dr. Anderson, SC 29624 officiated by Pastor: David Peeks and Rev. Terry Allen.
The family will be at her residence at 160 Lemans Dr. Anderson, SC.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
