Phyllis Jean Aubrey, 82, of Anderson SC, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at AnMed Medical Center.
Born on December 12, 1940, in Williamson, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Crete Dean Lloyd. Phyllis lived a life committed to God. She loved singing, supporting missions and was a member of High Praises Church of God.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years: Robert Durward Aubrey; children: Deborah Black (Mavin), Lester “Tonto” Aubrey (Lisa) and Bryan Aubrey (Margaret); sisters: Evelyn Staton (Eddy) and Marcia Barrett (Randy); 5 grandchildren and 4 greatgrandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brothers: Jerry and Dewey Lloyd and her sisters: Evon Lloyd, Juanita Kitchen and Gladys Burke.
A funeral service will be held at Sosebee Mortuary South Chapel on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 1pm with Pastor Mitchell Looper officiating. Burial will be held at MJ Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be held prior to the service at the South Chapel on Saturday, May 13, 2023, from 11am to 1pm.
The family will be at the residence.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory South Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
