Robert ‘Bob’ William Auer, 75, of Pendleton, SC, passed away from lung cancer at his home on Thursday, January 19, 2017.
Born on January 27, 1941 in Pleasantville, NJ; he was the son of the late Elmer J. Auer and Magdalena Johnson Auer. On December 28, 1963 in Anderson, SC, he married his wife Eula Ann Wallace – Auer.
Bob owned the Copper Boot in the Anderson Mall before working with Belk’s Shoe Department for 23 years. He was a veteran of the US Air Force.
He will be remembered for the laughter he brought to the world and his willingness to lend a hand to those in need. He lived his life honoring God, his Country, his Family, and his Friends.
In addition to his wife, Ann; he is also survived by his daughter, Ginny and granddaughter, Nicole both of Oregon; his brother and sister-in-law, Marion and Sammie Wallace of Pendleton and a brother John Auer of Florida.
In addition to his parents, he is also predeceased by his brothers Elmer and Harry and a sister Barbara.
The family will receive friends Sunday, January 22, 2017 at Lebanon Baptist Church from 2pm to 3pm. The funeral will follow at 3pm.
