Shirley E Whitfield, 79, of Anderson, SC passed away Monday, October 5, 2015 at Anmed Health Medical Center.
Born in Anderson, SC on June 21, 1936 she was the daughter of the late Henry and Louise Elliot, and the spouse of the late Edward Lee Whitfield.
She is survived by her children: Julie Stephens (Johnny), Lisa Powell (Steve), and Lori Atkins (Larry); sister: Frances Boyer; and grandchildren Brian, Bradley, and Preston Jordan.
In addition to her parents and spouse, she is predeceased by her children: Ricky Lee Whitfield and Linda Gail Whitfield; and five siblings.
A funeral service will take place Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 2pm, at the Sosebee Mortuary, South Chapel, and will be officiated by Reverend Dave Neal. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12pm – 2pm at the South Chapel. A private burial will follow the service.
The family will be at the home of Julie and Johnny Stephens.
