Sylvia Gail Hanks, 70, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at her home.
Born in Anderson, SC on May 26, 1949; she was the daughter of the late Bronson Walker Foster, Sr. and Lucy Mae Partain Foster. She retired with over 30 years of service from Singer.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Dwain Hanks; sons: Ron Johnson and Casey Black; daughter, Jamie Black; stepdaughters: Sonya Calvert and Tasha Sanders; brother, Bronson W. Foster, Jr.; sister, Patsy Lynn Coe; 11 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is also predeceased by a son, Keith Black.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 2pm officiated by Rev. Sam Duncan at Sosebee Mortuary, South Chapel. Private burial will follow.
The family will receive friends prior to the service at the mortuary on Saturday from 12:30pm – 2pm.
Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory, South Chapel, is assisting the family.
