Thomas Janke Jr, 76, of 258 Shiflet Rd, Anderson, SC passed away on May 6, 2014, at his home.
Born on January 17, 1938 in Middletown, NY; he was the son of the late Thomas A Janke, Sr. and Eleanora Labrano Janke, and married to the late Evelyn Brenda Janke. He was retired and previously worked as a Police Officer in Maybrook, NY and Police Chief of Moravia, NY. He was also a Crossing Guard for Moravia School. He loved this job, he loved to see the kids, to wave and smile.
He is survived by his sons: Anthony Cipollone (Marie), Wayne Janke, William Janke (Susan) and Christopher Janke (Gina); brother: Sal Janke; sister: May Janke DePuy; grandchildren: Heather, Billy, Dorothy, Katie, Christopher, Danielle, Jesse and Patrick; great-grandchildren: Dreyvan, Robbie and Ava; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife; he is also preceded in death by a brother: Luke Janke; and a sister: Eleanor Janke Eignor.
Services were held at 1pm on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Sosebee Mortuary, South Chapel. Burial followed at New Silverbrook Cemetery.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory, South Chapel, Anderson, SC assisted the family.
