Thomas Michael “Mike” Taylor, 66, of Anderson, SC, died due to illness on October 12, 2014 in the home of family.
Mike was born in Newton, NJ on January 16, 1948. He was a member of the Newton NJ Fire Department and of the Board of Directors for Williford Fire Department. He retired as a park ranger for SC Parks and Recreation & Tourism at Sadler’s Creek State Park, and an active member of Ruhamah Methodist Church.
Mike is survived by his sons: Jason Michael Taylor and wife, Wava of Starr and Joshua Michael Taylor and wife, Lauren of Anderson; grandchildren: Jerrett Taylor, Savannah Ramsey, and Jackson Taylor; great granddaughter Jennah Taylor; and brothers, James Frances Taylor, of Newton, NJ and Greg Taylor, of Delores, CO.
He is predeceased by his parents: Thomas Frances and Johanna Marie Taylor; brother Jeffrey Taylor; and sisters: Barbara Taylor and Patricia Crosby.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Ruhamah Methodist Church, with a reception to follow.
The family will be at the home of his son, Jason, and they ask that in lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Williford Fire Department or Hospice of the Upstate.
