Vickie D. Arflin Gambrell, 56, of Anderson SC, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born on November 2, 1966, in Anderson SC, she was the daughter of the late James and Cora Lee Philyaw Arflin. Vickie loved cruising, shopping, and spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, nana and friend.

She is survived by her husband: Larry Neal Gambrell Jr; daughter: Jordan Gambrell Dicce (Adam); brothers: Benny and Jimmy Arflin; sisters: Judy Cartee, Annette Hall, Helen Nixon and Sandy Williamson; grandchildren: Rowan and Leland Dicce; special nieces: Stephanie Ramage and Angie Morgan as well as many other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her daughter: Tarra Diane Gambrell; brothers: Buddy and Michael Barnes, and sister: Shelby Gillespie.

A visitation will be held at Sosebee Mortuary South Chapel on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, from 5pm to 7pm.

Funeral services will be held at Middleton Road Baptist Church on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 11am with Pastor Dale Cross officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will be at her home.

The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.

    Sending prayers to her family, use to go to school with Vickie and we would go do things, Larry I was married to Stan mcgarity we you and Vickie Joe Greer and his wife all went to the mountains and we would hang out before everyone got married, Vickie just text me a few months ago she seen me at Walmart and I did not recognize her I’ve had 3 strokes so hard to remember people face told her we would go eat lunch when school was out! We will still have lunch again maybe not on earth but in heaven. My prayers are with y’all!
