Wendell “Ray” Powell, 63, of Anderson, SC, passed away on December 2, 2024, at his home.
Born in Anderson, SC, on March 20, 1961, he was the son of the late Ed and Janice Powell. Ray was a simple man who was a loving father, grandfather, and all-around caring person. He loved working alongside his family as a mechanic and especially loved his Chevy S-10.
Ray is survived by his Daughters: Felicia Crowe (Christopher) and Casey Powell; Brother: Brian Powell; Sisters: Janet Craft, Christy Powell, and Sharon Ramsey; Grandchildren: Halie Lee, Hannah Lee, Hayden Lee, Raylee Gentry and Grayson Page; and Great-Grandchild: Roselyn Franklin.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters: Paula Brown and Theresa Wheeler.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.
