Willie Joe Hinton, 77, of Anderson, SC passed away on Monday, March 14, 2016 at AnMed Health.
He was the son to the late William and Lula Bell Sweezy Hinton. Joe was twice widowed, first to the late Elizabeth Page Hinton and second to the late Janie Holmes Hinton. He was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Ware Shoals, SC and a retired Civil Engineer with the SC Department of Transportation.
He is survived by a son: Stan Hinton (LeAnn); daughters: Teresa H Davis and Kellie Hinton; brothers: Carl and Bobby Hinton; sister: Gail Rogers; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
He is also predeceased by sons: Willie Joe Hinton Jr, Dale Ray Hinton, and Michael Lee Hinton; daughter: JoAnn Hinton; and brother: Gordon Hinton.
Funeral Services will take place on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 6pm at Sosebee Mortuary, South Chapel, 3219 S Main Street Anderson, SC 29624, and will be officiated by Reverend Medford Duncan. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the mortuary from 4pm – 6pm.
The family will be at their respective homes.
