James Perry ‘Jim’ Maness, 65, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Piedmont Post Acute, Piedmont, SC.
Born in Anderson, SC on June 27, 1960; he was the son of Mary Frances Crawford and the late Fred Leroy Maness. He was a member of Trinity Springs Church of God and loved his Clemson Tigers.
In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his son, Ryan Maness (Kristi); brothers: William Patrick Maness, Sr., and Donald Evans Maness; sister, Donna Lynn Harris; and three granddaughters: Olivia, Chloe, and Ryleigh.
In addition to his father, he is also predeceased by a brother, Tony Lee Maness.
A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory officiated by Pastors Alan Black and Roger Haulbrook. The family will reconvene at South Lawn Memorial Gardens for the inurnment.
Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangement.
