Gerald K Parker September 25, 1944 - July 15, 2026

Gerald K Parker of Anderson South Carolina passed away July 15, 2026, peacefully at his home.

Born in Charleston, South Carolina, on September 25, 1944, he was the beloved son of the late Rev. Thomas C. Parker and Bessie Inez Locklear Parker.

Gerald grew up with a sharp mind and strong work ethic retiring after many years of employment with Dow Badische, BASF located in Anderson, SC. He was also a member of the Belmont Church of God of Prophecy in Anderson, SC.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Margaret Kathleen Davis Parker; Son: Gerald Kenneth Parker Jr.; Brother: Tommie Ted Parker; and Niece: Tammy Ann Parker.

Gerald’s legacy of love, faith, and dedication lives on through his family. He is survived by his Son: William Tommy Parker (Tedra); Granddaughters: Laura Sheriff (Braxton), Sarah Parker, Amy Parker, Abby Parker, Grandson, Eli Parker; and Great-grandson: Parker Dean Sheriff.

Also, he leaves behind his brothers Benny Parker, Bobby Parker, sister: Tracey I Parker, and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a grave side service at 3pm on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park and will be officiated by Rev. William L. Wilson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to Meals on Wheels, PO Box 285, Anderson, SC 29622.

The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.
