Barbara Ann Day Strickland, 84, of Iva SC, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at her home.
Born in Anderson SC, on December 23, 1937, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Day. She was the owner and operator of Barbara Ann’s Beauty Salon for over 35 years.
She is survived by her son: Keith Strickland (Cheryl); daughters: Deidre Burgess (Jimmy) and Tama Riggins (Richard); brother: Mike Day; sisters: Lynn Thornton and Connie Cavas; grandchildren: Josh Strickland (April), Andrea Madden (Dale), Jon Strickland, Casey Strickland (Steven), Amber Sisk (Kevin) and Brianna Riggins (Jamie); great-grandchildren: John, Trevor, Colt, Bryson, Brayden, Caden, Addi, Emery Belle, Zoey, Reagan, Xander, Zeke and Jordan; several nieces and nephews; as well as her family at heart: Cathy Strickland and Debra Sue Gaines.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her family members: Frankie Day, Amanda Burgess, James Strickland, Gene Sanders, Jerry Day and Betty Jo Brock.
A memorial service will take place at Sosebee Mortuary Iva Chapel on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at 11am with Wayne Moore officiating.
The family will be at the home.
The Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory Iva Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
