Barbara Jean Morton, 83, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at her residence.
Born on March 30, 1941, in Iva, SC, she was the daughter of the late James Amory and Lily Pearson Partain and was married to the late Buddy Morton for many years.
Barbara was a strong woman of faith who loved her family deeply. She was a classy fireball that loved to dance and drink her black coffee. She made friends with everyone and enjoyed life to the fullest.
She is survived by her son, Brandon Morton; grandchildren: Lyndsey Padgett (John), Bryanna Morton (Gregory), Megan Morton (Nick), Savannah Morton (Austin), Brenton Morton, Kelsea Morton, Blake Morton, and Tyler Morton; 17 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is also predeceased by a son Bryan Morton and two sisters.
A memorial service officiated by Pastor Linda Garrett will be held at 3pm on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Glen Grove Church of God of Prophecy, 2632 Providence Church Road in Anderson.
The family will be at their respective homes.
Sosebee Mortuary and Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.

I can’t remember a time in my life that she wasn’t there. She will be missed. So fly high Barbara. You earned those wings. I will love you and miss you forever.
